Yesterday, a coworker approached Me asking if I would clean up a radio He was given over the weekend. He said he wanted to flip it for a quick sale and wondered what it was worth. I asked him if it was similar to My JVC M70 I was playing there. He replied with "Yes, but It's some obscure brand that I'd bet You never heard of." He brought it over, and I immediately recognized it. I said "Yeah, that's a Lasonic TRC-918 or 920". It's pretty dirty, but powered right up with no static in the controls. I've never heard these in person and was impressed with its bassy sound, and options. It's loudness button is better the 'LBS' on My 975. It's not minty, but it's all there. One of It's original antennas fell off of post but I have it. I told him it would probably fetch around $50- $80 in this condition on ePay. He seemed kind of disappointed. Since I'm doing the cleaning up on it, I'm going to offer him $50. Here it is ...
