Like most folk I have amassed many a Figure 8 A/C mains lead and even bought additional ones from 200mm up tp 5m in length for convenience along with a good handful of these leads with a (oh-so-convenient) 90 degree fig. 8 connection, again, for convenience. The problem is that now I have waaaaaaay too many mains cables and, perhaps, may have saved space along with a little cash by buying these inexpensive little gems sooner (found on Amazon):

The description of the top one is something like:
2.5A IEC320-C8 to C7 90 Degree Up Angle Angled Power Adapter Converter 110-250V

The description of the lower one is something like:
IEC320-C8 Male to C7 Female 90 Degree Angle Sided Angled Power Adapter 110-250 V

I never knew such things existed so I hope this will be of help to y'all.

Yeah! That would definitely help your boombox get closer to the wall - especially for those that have the A/C plug on the back side. I might have to try one on my GF-777. Thanks for the heads up, Christine!

Actually, I don't think it will help the boombox get any closer to the wall since the cord is actually small enough gauge to bend easily. But that sharp deformed angle of the cord when boombox is pushed tight against the wall definitely isn't good for it, so these adapters are a cool accessory. Unfortunately, it seems most classic boomboxes don't use the figure 8 ended cord.

I forgot to mention the fit: It's very........'snug', quite tight but in a firm, confident & reassuring way, not so tight it'll cause concern.
