Dead broke at the moment, but I wouldn't mind having one of those for my S93 in the future.

At first glance.... I totally saw that tape in your S93 in my mind's eye. Those pics you posted of it were awesome.

OK. The tape wrapper looks great but the cassette itself just looks like a normal tape. On many tape doors, you might not even see the lettering. I'd venture to guess that the tape is worth far more in unwrapped form than it ever will inside a boombox.

Very true, but you know how big and clear the window is on those Toshiba boxes. Not saying that someone wouldn't buy it for a different brand box, but I can't really understand why they'd want to. :-/

Yep. In any other boombox besides a bombeat -- that tape would be, well, it would be just another tape.

Theres another bombeat tape on the bay now also. You cant see through the packaging though... so no clue about what it will look like.

:agree:

On a somewhat related note, I bought a Crown cassette thinking it would look great in the Crown CSC-950F I used to own... When it arrived, I put it in the box and couldn't even see the Crown logo on the tape. :-/

Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose...

See! See! THAT's what I'm talking about.
I got a Pioneer tape that I first thought was cool because it said Pioneer on it. But inside the boombox, nobody would know, and it's really just a standard low noise tape.

As there is a collector community for boxes, microcassette players and walkmen, there are probably even more people who collect blank NOS cassettes. A Toshiba Bombeat cassette is relatively rare and I expect that anyone who buys that tape will never unwrap it. Well...., except maybe an actual Bombeat owner :-D

Wow!!

If I bought that it'd be STRAIGHT into the S90 or S93.

Like Super says though... it's pretty nondescript..

Rock On.

Hmmm. Like I said, without the wrapper, it just a regular tape. The price is already more than I would pay for something like that.
