838 Revival!

For awhile my 838 was out of commission due to the dreaded slider problems that are most common in this box but thanks to a fellow member stynger007, it is alive and bumpin. Here's a few pictures of the restoration in progress and the final outcome. As a matter of fact, there were some parts that I salvaged from the parts box so if anyone needs anything, let me know.

Great job, man!

The most I did was open mine up to spray it with Deoxit. As far as taking it fully apart to really get into the nooks and crannies, I don't have the stomach for that.

Let me know if you have a fully intact spare antenna from that parts box available.

yea, it was pretty easy compared to the Lasonic 931 but seeing yours it looks like you cleaned the speakers up very well. Yours looks a lot more minty than mines. My only dislike is that it doesnt play well with music with lots of bass but everything else is great.

Sorry, dont have a antenna, both were broken off on the parts box.

Thanks for the comments fellow members. Oh and the shelf is from Ikea and is perfect for medium size boomers.
