Got a 777H and was just looking at a 777Z on the net with pic's ~just to see what was different

Radio dial face on mine is a darker silver and the Z is a blue

but what got me wondering is the

FM V's FM
SW V's SW
MW V's SW
LW V's AM

so which is for what market ? europe ~ japan ?

I've got a 777H, too, and as far as I know it's the European version. Also I like the dark dial better
But I don't know exactly about the radio bands.
FM / frequency modulation / UKW is obvious. But I'm not certain about the rest.
I think SW / short wave is send with frequency modulation as well. It's reaches very far, that might be the reason why the American version has a bigger focus on SW due to the vast landscapes and long distances between cities and villages and everything.
LW / long wave, also frequency modulation I think, reaches far as well, not as far as SW though. I don't know why it's not featured in the 777Z (or is it disguised?). I heard in America long wave is license-free and used by amateurs and hobbyists.
And finally, I believe MW / mid wave works via amplitude modulation and is just another name for AM.

No guarantees.
