Went to the swap meet today, wasn't really expecting to find anything (because I never do :-/ ) and low and behold I found TWO radio's worth buying

First, I got a second GE-3-5286A. Even though this radio is filthy, she is all working. The deck works flawlessly, as does the radio and the aux in. But of course, all the controls are dirty and crunchy and all need deoit. The antenna tip is busted off and there is one knob missing, but other than needing the standard clean, this is a great find!

Next is one for Ira, Even though I'm not a big Mini collector, I have learned from Ira that there are indeed quality Mini's out there and this Toshiba RT-S651 is right up there. Full logic cassette deck, music search, line in and out, dual antenna's, stereo wide, 4 speakers and twin head phone jacks :w00t: . As you can see, it is super clean!

That Realistic is killer!
Nice litte Toshiba as well. :-)

All I found today was a Panasonic RX-FS470 that is quite nice and mint
for $5.00. :-) 1990-92'.

Wish I could find old 80's stuff like that in the wild! :-)
Nice finds.

It's gotten so hard to find these things anywhere! The guy I got the Mini from was up here from San Diego selling at my local swap meet, he said he is a boombox collector and has been on this site before. He said he normally does a walk around in the morning looking for radio's....I joked and told him he missed one and told him about the GE. He was bummed

GE 3-5286A - better looking than 99% of all boxes

Better build quality too....Sadly, it had some nasty leaky batteries in it, not to bad....but as I walked around with it...it got heavy fast...these little GE's are TANKS! Plus I think they are lighter when they are playing   :dunce:

My wife said, "We should go to the car and drop off your radio"....I said "Fine, but if some dude comes walking out with an M90, your in for it".  :annoyed:

You can see, these fit right into the collection!

Right on! I like this little Tosh...At the swap meet I saw it between the tent's one isle over BECAUSE the guy had the DUAL antenna up. In fact, when I wanlk up, there was music playing from the radio :-D I asked him if it was for sale....I'm not sure if it was, but he said YES...The only thing he said was he gets to keep the batteries    That was fine with me!

Love that mini tosh Chris, it looks like it has a lot more blue in its solo pics then a bit more darker in the group shots.

Yeah, it's a real nice royal blue, sweet box. I am still blown away by some of the mini's that are out there. The ones that are packed with features seem to be rare. But there is no doubt that there are mini's that have features that rival the very best features available at the time.

Nothin' like a twofer' to make your day. Both very nice and worthy adds to any collection.

I have only found a few radio's in the wild so this is my first "Twofer in the Wild"...kind of sounds dirty :surf:
