Well I am a very happy bunny today
After bagging a stereo I have been waiting an eternity for..........
Now I know only too well that these can have their faults so after rejecting many of these over the years, I couldn't believe my eyes when this came up on Ebay
Some of you must have seen it too I guess & I was wary despite being told 'It's Perfect Mate' apart from a few very small blemishes on the top of the left speaker........
Anyway, it arrived today safely packed up in bubble wrap & a big box full of padding!!
Decided to clean up what was already a pretty clean machine & after that, a very deep head block & roller clean (Yuk)
Was filthy & took an hour of cotton bud & alcohol to return the head to silver & the pinch roller to complete black!!
Azimuth spot on but motor speed on play very slow
20 mins later motor speed corrected & lovely sound came from the speakers
VERY clean inside, like new in fact & Doh! I forgot to snap a few shots while open
Was a two person job anyway, big tits held the machine upright & operated the tape deck while I did the speed trimmer - really easy!!
Anyway enough waffle (I do love doing these write up's) Sad am I not?
& I don't care!! lol
