    Demagnetizing heads ? I seached and didn't find anything

    I have a old realistic 44-1154 model . It has a switch and is supposed to be 40 watt . It's the only one I ever had. How do you know if it does the job? I've used it yet have no way of knowing . I've read some say it's not needed yet my panasonic RX-CT810 manual says to do it.
