I have been using this product for many different applications and the results are non invasive and very successful on all metal parts.
I thought I would give cleaning the tape head a crack and guess what it came out super shiny and clean, the Audio Improvement was noticeable. If you look at the tape head and has tiny lumps of corrosion in the tape transport path this will limit to contact area and reduce the pickup quality. Give it a rub with a rag or Cotton tip with this gear smeared on it and will remove this corrosion leaving a smooth surface. Works well on the Capstan Shaft as well.
This also works on other metal and metal plated parts like plastic.
