Hi to all happy new year, I have purchased a hitachi trk 3D80 superwoofer it was in awful condition but after a complete strip down and clean she is looking nice again, my problem with it is that it sounds awful. I have switch cleaned all the slider controls, installed new belts to the cassette decks and cleaned the heads etc. now I have read that recapping could sort the sound problems out, so I have ordered myself new capacitors but before I go ahead and try this didn’t know if any one could shed any more light on my problems.
