So, I have this Technics component system with these cool blue "mood lights". imp: They look like neon, but they're actually LED. Let's take it apart and see how it works.
Here are the acrylic plates that carry the light:
And this LED is pointed directly at the edge of that plate.
Pretty creative, I'd say. It's basically taking the light and bending it 90 degrees. Notice how the plate is stepped, and each part of the step is sandblasted? The sandblasting is what makes it glow.
