13/64" (5mm) O/D, 5/64" (1.98mm) I/D. The OD isn't critical as it isn't directly involved in dictating the takeup speed and as long as it's not too small, it won't struggle to keep up.

These sizes are for GF9090, 9494 and 555 but these are the ones I've done and know are correct. Measure the O/D of your capstan and if it's the same, then I'll send enough to do one and can add that model to the list of decks where this size fits. Sleeve free, postage cost only.

How much did you remove before the bath.. all of it? How do we get rid of the smoke smell?

Hi, I'm restoring a GF 9090 and I have exactly the same problem with the cassette player. Thanks for the pictures and all.
I also wanted to install the line input on the Hallsy advices but the sound quality is not good: there is noise and you can still hear the radio whispering.
My Voltage divider use a 22k(serial) and a 33k (parallele)
I'm thinking about another solution, but the diagram is a too complex maze for me.
