Hi all. New here, obviously...recently found a 100f at a storage unit sale. Pretty rough condition. Neither deck worked, but radio did. Sound is rad though for sure. Both speakers kick out the jams quite well. Here is a vid after some basic cleaning:

The power switch problem is now taken care of, the bottom deck had some sticky linkages that were preventing the box from powering down. I went through the insides pretty extensively, cleaning and whatnot.
There was a small issue with the top deck play head. When I opened the box, there was a screw stuck in the grease around the tray spring mechanism. I set that aside and went about my business of cleaning. Put everything back together and still the decks didn't work. So back apart everything came. Went a little deeper this time and actually removed both decks, cleaning as I went. Found out that the little screw came from the azimuth (?) on the top deck. put it back in and readjusted. Works great now!
Bottom take took a lot of fiddling to get working. As far as I can tell, it is working properly. This is where my tech question comes in though, because I can't test it completely just yet. It seems there should be some kind of spring in the door itself that pushes the cassette up against the playing mechanism. Mine doesn't have that. Could someone post a pic of what the inside of their door looks like for me? I imagine it would be exceedingly difficult to find something like that, so I'm guessing I'll have to make it myself or somehow improvise it. If nothing else, just so I can see the beauty work!
Anyway, I will post pics when I get to my other computer.
Thanks!
Dave
