An RX-1950 I worked on recently (new belts and lots of cleaning) was working great until a couple days ago.
Now it lets out a loud, high-pitched shrill, but curiously only when the balance pot is set mid-point (balanced), when volume is above 20%, and only when the radio is used. No problems when a tape is played. This happens with any headphones I use.
Any ideas?
