What does big sister think of Ava?
At the hospital she didn't even notice me holding her. While Ava was in the womb, we had tough her "baby sister" was in Mommy's belly. But when she was born, we tried to show her "baby sister."
After about the 5th time spread out over two hours, I was holding her and said, "Hey Natalie, look at me..... This is baby sister."
She finally acknowledged her with an exhausted, "Oookaaayyy."
I laughed so hard and so did my wife. By now, she's kind of sweet to her, helps tuck her in, puts her hat back on, but rarely will give her a hug or kiss. But it will come I'm sure.
The weirdest and only unfortunate thing is, the first week after her birth, for some reason my Achilles started tightening up, and by last Saturday, I couldn't even walk. I've been in a boot with crutches and no explanation why, they only took an X-ray but it was clear. My wife has been taking care of me instead of me taking care of her and the girls. So embarrassing.
