lasonic trc 931 hums when you touch knob or switches on left

has a hum when you touch switchs or knobs on left side like volume balance ect
does anyone know what the problem is

Sounds like a bad ground to deck or loose tape head wire

It didn't hum when it was here, but honestly I do have boxes that sound like they have "feedback" or a hum when touching the controls in our STATIC filled attic

Ok, two things that might have corrected the hum issue(s) I experienced, which were when any knob/switch was touched. When I opened my Lasonic to perform cleaning and belt work I noticed the yellow spade connector toward the top (connecting to the tuner board) was floating loose. I reconnected and my humming issue went away, but keep in mind I also cleaned and deoxit'd all the switches and knobs so that might have cleared the issue also. Just my .02
