Nice score Ira... worth every penny. Seriously.
And the dial light will make it fun to use at the club house as the sun goes down... as you sit back.... put your feet up... and listen to the waves crash into the shore....

the grills were the ones pansonic had left that there were not going to use so lasonic ended up with them so its mostly a lasonpana 
you know how i compare the sound of the 909 it like listening to the lasonic trc-920 thats how it sounds

Ira, hows the build quality? does it feel 70's solid?
And does it have only one driver under that grill or is it coaxial? It's pretty bold to compare it to the soud of a 920.

and why i compared it to the lasonic trc-920 it is not so loud like the 920 its the bass that gets pumped by this small box compared to other in its size
jovie the 918 is basicly just like the 920 even in the sound department they are very loud and bassy

you guys have now made this one seem ' more important'
and frank --i cant tell the vintage --
but the speakers grill is an OLD design --
as another hint --
it does not have 'proper' RCA line-in jacks=
instead --
it has the 5 pin DIN --which works fine.
and - it came with the original box --
but there are no date codes on it

well I can tell you since it's made from plastic that means it's not as old as you, nice pickup Ira!!
