Picked this beast up today. Case looks great, it's all there and fairly clean. I cleaned the tape heads and rollers, decks will need new belts though both play (I've got new belts ordered). Needs the usual stuff, cleaning of all switches and pots, new belts, got the azimuth dialed in on Deck 2.

Deck 1 has a really low, muffled output. Not sure what's causing it, I cleaned and aligned the tape head. I'm assuming there's a switch that gets activated when Play is pushed, and probably needs to be cleaned. Does anyone know where it's located?

I shot some DeOxit into the Phono/Line In selector switch. Both channels play, but one will go out unless I wiggle it just right.

All in all, happy to have this beast of a machine on my bench. It's LOUD! Will be my first box to restore, and I'll try to document the process as best I can.

Always liked the 777 family, congrats, they get a hard time on here sometimes but it's the only big sharp 1 piece worth having imho
