Got a new dog!
Already have one but I only have him half the time as I share him with my ex (neither of us are willing to give him up lol). So when he’s not here I miss him a lot and now I mostly work from home I miss him even more.
I happened to be outside my sister in laws house (middle of the countryside) when a dog came running over. Super friendly and just the sort of dog I wanted and I said as such. Turns out it was from the neighbouring farm and her sister was up for rehoming! They were both supposed to be working dogs but neither wanted to work. So a few days later she’s back home with me. This is Tilly.
She’s absolutely awesome so friendly and smart. Great with kids and other dogs and fitting in really well

Here is my wife holding our Satinette pigeon, Angel. He is about one pound worth of sweet fluff!

I was at a construction site last Friday where a demo crew was going to remove the back half of this house. There was an abandoned nest with one dead baby dove, and this little cutie we named Flicker. The guys said his parents were nowhere to be found. They were giving it McDonalds biscuits and no water. I took him home in a small box and set him in a spare cage we had. He adapted very well and ate some mashed up seeds I gave him. He drank water from an eye dropper. Long story short, this guy just loves my wife and I and enjoys sitting on my desk. As I write this, he jumped off his little bed and flew onto my arm where he has been sitting as I type this. We hope to give him many long happy years. As our other bird, they will be cage free except for nights. Our home is their home. (Incidentally, they do make cute little flight suits with diapers built in!

Yeah. They hate those things.
My cat literally shuts down when the cone of shame goes on. Wont eat or anything. We ended up having to put her in a special jacket to keep her from licking.

Table manners are poor for Flicker. He sees food, he flies over and lands right on top of it. We prepare ourselves by leaving him a side of crumbs. That little guy will eat anything including turkey, beef and fish.
