Can someone explain to me the major differences between these two? I am interested in getting one or the other possibly. I like the looks of both but want (need) to know the substantial differences outside the fact that one has an analog tuner and one has a digital tuner. I also understand that looks vary as well amongst both models. :-D

I just traded both of mine to Norm. Here are the differences:
1000 = manual tuner, with flywheel weighted knob and a cool lighted dial.
2000 = digital tuner.
1000 = mechanical tape deck, with rather crude feeling keys IMHO.
2000 = logic deck with 3 motors, very nice.

Both have oval woofers and pizeo tweeters. But the 2000 sounds better for some reason, more precise and tight. Might be different amps or something. Check the specs on the radiomusem site.

You can pull the grills off, using a small screwdriver or hole-punch or something like that. That's what I did.

I don't have it anymore, I don't remember if the back could be opened.

Cheers.
With a multimeter, I'm locate the positive and negative pins (positive is the one on Top).

I will make a duplex plug, with a molex connector, the same used in PCs power supply's.

Cheers.

They're just plastic speakers.

And I never use the DC jacks, only AC. Sorry!
