Grandfathers "Boombox"

This is my Grandfathers boombox.... A Fidelity Rad 18 Wood case portable radio. I have fond memories of him working in the garage with this belting out tunes in the background. Takes 8 D cell batteries and still works great. It as an external aerial port, marine band reception, Earphone port and even an auxilliary Tape in connection! And British made to top it all....quality!

Well, I would make a snide joke about "British" & "Quality" being in the same sentence...Especially if Lucas made the switches. But since this radio still works as good as the day it was built, it clearly doesn't have Lucas switchgear.
