People who are found of old boom boxes are very special bunch, in my opinion.....
Personally, I like them because they "ain't make them like that" anymore...
I get a great satisfaction from a process of giving them a second life. I find it fascinating to observe & learn.... complicated meshing gears with intricate electro-mechanical servo's, Auto-reverse Double deckers with full electronic control of all operations etc are of greatest interest to me.
The meticulous hard work of those engineers who invented such machines - deserve great appreciation.

Thanking those who organise this site, making possible to share our love to old boom boxes and communicate with one another....

It's true the cassette mech is a work if genius. No two are alike WTF. But that's what makes it interesting. Sony auto reverse is proving to be quite the challenge. So many belts and rubber pinions !

Cheers I'm from Melb
