Hey Frank, I'm wanting to think that Ira brought the M-X920, but I wouldn't swear to it. :-/

The one with the wood grain around it was the M-X820 that JT got for Ira.

LOL
You had to ask.
To me I have not heard a boombox to date that sounds like it.
It sounds more like a home stereo than a boombox with bass as rich as dark chocolate.
But enough about the Telefunken.
Some one MUST buy this Sanyo.
It is beautiful!!!!!!
and BTW Bobby that was not fair  I knew it wasnt there I checked the list.
Im leaving the Telefunken Home next year :hooray: :tease: :hooray:

DOH! That was my bad, Frank! You are correct that there was no Sanyo M-X920 there. However, Ira did have his AKA version - Aimor ST-808FS2. That's what I was thinking about.

right --there was no 920 at the meet -- the aimor version really looks about 95%
just like it---
ramon elected to bring his sanyo 9998 instead --
because it really does sound even better than the 920 :-)
--------------------------------

and ---btw - not to hijack this thread for some low-down -
self serving commercial purpose -- :-)
but i will have a minty 9998 on ebay tonight or by tomorrow-

its gonna be $$ pricey -- I HOPE !!!
so -- i was thinking its not the best plan to offer here to our friends
first --
like WHO wants to pay OVER $400 for a medium size box ????
:-D

Hope you like yours Tim. I like the sound - it's one you can crank right up there without distortion at all. Not as loud as the big boys but IMHO one of the nicest looking boxes ever made.

They take 10 D cells I think.

Doubt you'd want mine as it is mint, fully working, and with the full and complete package as you can see - so for M90 money you'd probably prefer to get an M90 as I see you are after one!

Tim - I'm kinda hoping someone wanders into a bunch of money and wants a true collectors example as I have taken pics and written descriptions but as yet i simply can't bring myself to list it on ebay. I'd prefer to know where it was going and stay in the family!
