Thanks you guys. It's always fun powering up these things to stretch their legs. The Teac R2R doesn't get used nearly as much as my boomers. When I remember to do so I always power it up and play a few reels. If I don't have an interest in playing hours and hours of music I'll at least flip the power and move the transport micro switch so the capstan motor rotates the belt so its not resting around the pulleys too long in one spot.
That is a beautiful unit. Thought about getting a Grundig unit to go with my Locarno Stereo. I have no knowledge how to obtain/operate or maintain one let alone get music for it.
