That's the same size (in O/D, which I measured before doing the jobs. However I can't guarantee the pitch of the teeth as I already did the repair detailed below and took no pictures) as the gear that takes the drive from the motor to the sled in the CD pickup used in Rowe-AMI jukeboxes. Philips mechanism number is CDM12.4. This could, therefore, be not only a free fix but a profitable one too, since the laser in the said CDM12.4 is the correct one for use in the much more high end Philips CD pro 2LF and Marantz machines from the early days of CD, when these things were heavily over engineered.
Profitable how, you're probably wondering: Carefully remove the laser with its sled and rack from the CDM12.4 chassis and advertise the laser as being a suitable replacement for some Bang & Olufsen Beosound models from the Beosound Century and Ouverture lines. People will buy the entire CDM12.4 chassis just to get that laser as the 12.4 usually costs about £10 on eBay and B&O will charge you £500 and insist that you buy the complete assembly complete with servo board if you buy the "official" Philips parts from a B&O specialist. So you pay about $16 for the assembly, sell the laser on at, say, 50% profit because you did the work of taking that part out of the bits that repairers won't need, then fit the gear to your deck and away she goes.

I didn't take pictures of the gear when I was doing the repair(s), as time is short and taking usable photos takes longer than fixing both the Philips and the B&O did, but even if the pitch of the pinion or the outer gear on the Philips CD part isn't the same as your one, it's something you can't lose out on in any case. I used the gear in my recently acquired Philips 774 boombox as the original, although not cracked right the way across like your one, did have a few missing teeth.

I looked at some pictures of the 12.4, and there's one blue colored gear on the bottom. Is that it? It looks like the motor shaft gear (which meshes with this gear) is a "worm" type, and that would mean the main gear's teeth would be slanted to fit that. That's too bad. :sadno:

Thanks for the suggestion anyway, I may need it for something else.

I use to hammer pennies flat when I was younger, does that count too? ;-)

No, the gear meshes with the rack on the sled, there's another gear with a skew gear and a straight cut part, that smaller skew gear meshes with the worm on the motor.
I'm busy with another one just now, and have this image showing the same gear but this one in an original B&O CD-Pro2 LF chassis, note the gap between the worm and where this gear sits, in this chassis, the two part gear goes in there and that's what the worm drives, what you're seeing below is straight cut:

BUT... This gear is slightly smaller than the CDM12.4 one so would only be of use if it acts as an idler in the cassette deck. If it's driving something directly, as it does in my Philips 774, then it would be too small compared to your broken one unfortunately. Sorry about that.. :-/

Maybe I was looking at the wrong gear on the 12.4, I'll have a look at some more pictures. And it's been so long since I looked at the Citizen boombox that I can't remember what that gear did! Will post an update (and some more pictures) later today.
