This was made by an amateur filmmaker who made a bunch of comedy shorts, including one (here) that parodies anti-drug scare ads, that was made with Matt Groening while at college.
Norman carries a Philips 698 (aka Loewe 8694), a lovely midsize "Spatial Stereo" dating back to 1980-81, according to Radiomuseum.
The scene at 1:30 - 2:00 portrays a funny symbolic boombox battle with a comparable unit: the cozy Sony CFS 43 carried by the street hustler (round grills vs square grills, VUs vs leds, black vs blue tuning dial, box carried by the handle vs box carried under the arm etc.)
