Hi Everyone, new member here.

I have an original Aiwa AX-7600 Tuner Amp. It's been working fine until recently. Now I have a really noisy left Phono Channel. The noise level rises and falls with the volume. Every other channel, including the right Phono Channel is fine. Even if I unplug the turntable plugged into the phono, the noise is still there. Yesterday I opened the unit up to check for any signs of physical issues but couldn't see any. I also re-soldered most of the joints on the Jack/Equaliser board. The problem is still there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Power up relays go bad and that might also cause noisy channel.
Try cleaning the phono/tuner switch and the main power switch with Deoxit FaderLube 5
Check phono ground cable and see if it is connected well.

It could be feedback loop it happens when the insulation of the internal cables deteriorates over time. You can test by wiggling the cables and see if the sound fluctuates.
