I was thinking to upgrade the speakers on mine too and
add some led lighting on it also, like northerner did
some time ago .
What i have in mind is unglue the dust cups from the exhisting ones
find the right pair of speakers from the market and fit them in with\
the original dustcaps in place so that the boombox will not look like
its speakers have been replaced.
I would need the right glue for speakers too.
This must improve the sound that comes out of this beautiful bbox
It doesnt even have 5 speakers (as philips states) the truth is that this box has fake tweeters
and the right and left speaker are too weak and tbh the back of them is plastic.
That just leaves the box with only ONE decent speaker and this is the middle woofer.
Dont know how many inches are though!! have to measure them.

Yeah! Luv the NorthLyte version too. When it comes to replacing the speakers etc we need to talk to him!!
