"New In Box". Translation: It's actually been used plenty of times, and the owner simply never threw out the packaging.

Powers on, radio works. Oh but wait, the rest of the functions remain "untested" (because he knows they don't work, and doesn't want to admit it)

Minor cosmetic damage - its missing a cassette holder, one of the grilles is covered in paint, and there is a huge crack on one corner that lets the handle fall off...

When I bought my GF 777 the ad really didn't say much but there were lots of pictures and the condition was listed as as is well when I got it it was the most busted up Boombox I'd ever seen in my life but it still worked I couldn't help but laugh they should have just listed it as complete piece of s*** if you want it it's $169 with shipping included lol
I knew what I was buying by looking at it but I took the chance I still have what's left of it which was made into a custom box.

"Please use the pics to judge the condition of the item"

Pics are all 600x400.

Especially with Japanese sellers trying to hide the saltwater corrosion on the metal trim

Tape motors tested without tape seem to be working.radio function works but dial does drive the tuner..Speaker wire needs changing. This is better in the hands someone who is capable.

"I don't know if it works, so I'm selling it "as is".

(Translation: It's dead, none of it works, but I'm going to act like I didn't test it)

Honest advertising would read it's a piece of s*** you're lucky if it'll arrive in one piece but I still want top dollar for it.

Another tried and true Method it's rare even though I don't know a damn thing about boomboxes it's old so it must be worth a lot of money. Even though they act like the m************ rare they'll be millions of them in circulation.

Another thing is I don't give a f*** if it's rare if it's a piece of s*** that's probably why it's rare in most cases if anything's worth f*** they make as many and as much money as they can off them.
Just keep in mind a rare f****** piece of junk is still a f****** piece of junk.

Some of these f****** sellers just stumble into the Boombox Market by accident next thing you know they think they hold the key to the f****** City and all honestly you have to be a f****** moron to buy anything they have.
