I've got a GF-575 and I'd recommend it. Might be a poor man's 777 but it's just a fraction of the cost and still bloody loud, with fulsome bass. A set of ten D-cells lasts at least for a summer. My only gripe is that it weighs a bloody ton.

I have one and remain very pleased with it.
Very attractive looker (IMO) loaded with features, reasonably loud if that's your thing.
Sound quality is good, very good even, but rather bass light with a tendancy to distort bass notes if pushed even to moderate levels.
Watch out for sluggish ff/rew on these units.
