Although I'm still having issues viewing anything from tinypic, I did see her in the video.

Great score Terry, hope you get her back nice and quickly too.. she's got many years
of blasting ahead of her!

Rock On.

I think that version looks so much better than the standard silver.

How do you like the sound, Terry? I wish the GF-777 would have had the "highs" of the GF-666/808.

Just make sure your "tech" is capable of custom repair services because the parts needed to fix those deteriorated capstan needle bushings is not availble new, and a creative "secret boomboxery" type of repair needs to be effected.

@ Ira, not rare at all in Japan, but a $12 box quickly turns into a $250 box after air freight and commission.

@ Rick, I'll email you a few pictures.

@ Bobby, I haven't turned it up to 11 yet, but it sounds nice so far. I can only run it on the 10 D cells as the voltage is vastly different here in AU. I like the Grey look.

@ sony_apm_fan Thanks :-D

@ Superduper, At this point just getting the tech to look at it, and maybe do a voltage conversion from 100v to 240 v, if he can't fix it well I'm prepared to learn.

Thanks Guys, hopefully the next pics I post up will be the National RX 5700. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Yeah, those boxes are on Yahoo Japan all the time... Kinda amazes me about the shipping charge to Australia 'cause it doesn't seem all that far from Japan when viewed on a map... I also say that 'cause when I was in Tokyo years ago, I met more Australians than... :hmmm: Actually, I didn't meet any Americans. :-/

Regardless, congratulations!
