SONY CFS-85 ZILBAP problem

I just brought out my fully working SONY CFS-85 ZILBAP and now it sounds with very low volume. Crackly sound on FM. Very disappointed!
May be the problem is due to capacitors going bad.
It is not easy to open up the cover. The lower front panel has to slide out after removing all the top switch covers. Putting the cover back can also be very tricky, parts and screw posts can poke on speaker cone and damage it.

It sounds like the spray can temp fix didn't hold. May require pots to be fully dismantled cleaned and rebuilt. The radio may have a high resistant joint on the aerial or the dirty Ferris plug.
