Rx-5050 weird belt pulley.

I'm wondering if anyone who has ever changed the belt on a Panasonic Rx-5050 can give me an idea of how the flat belts is supposed to sit on this pulley. I find it odd that the spot for the square belt is a v-shape as it should be but the spot for the flat belt is angled. It doesn't seem like the flat belt will sit properly on either side of this thing.

The flat belt has to be wide enough where it won't drift on the pulley.

Hmm, the belt that was in it that I believe was original is only about half as wide as the part of the pulley it sits in, so it has to sit to one side or the other...

It has to be centered on the pulley.
You might have to spin the deck by hand a few times to make sure it's tracking right.
