Hello Boomboxery aficionados,
It has been quite awhile that I have posted here. Going to the Sunshine Meet in 2010 was a super cool event that I will always remember. Thanks to that, i got the fever and have a dozen boxes around my house, and I occasionally entertain at summer events with an M90. Anyway, i do not work on boxes but have a local top shelf electronics shop that will fix my boxes and Nakamichi decks.
He asked if I can find a flat capstan belt for my M90 that has consistent thickness throughout. He bought some that were made in China and is lacking the quality. I noticed Fatdog had some numbers listed under Belts, but I would not know what to do with them-
RC-M90 Belt FRM9.2
Belt SCX4.6
Belt SCY9.0
Any help here would be very appreciated. The electronics repair owner told me to buy a larger number of them, if needed.

Thanks.....hope everyone is doing well.

The counter belt was confirmed to be wrong, it should be SCY5.2. (see here)
Either set of codes will work, just a matter of what you can find.

Old codes
Capstan: FRM9.2 flat rubber medium, 210 mil x 31 mil
Take-up: SCX4.6 square cut, 46 x 46 mil
Counter: SCY5.2 square cut, 35 x 35 mil

New codes
Capstan: FBM9.2 flat belt medium, 197 x 24 mil (5 x 0.6 mm)
Take-up: SBS4.6 square belt small, 46 x 46 mil (1.17 x 1.17 mm)
Counter: SBO5.2 square belt orbicular, 39 x 39 mil (1 x 1 mm)

Wow! That is quite a difference in length for the counter, from 5.2 to 9.0. It makes perfect sense when compared to the original service manual.
Thanks for the clarification!
