Scored this one not working owner used a 9v dc supply and blew the power cap. To fix all I had to do was replace the CAP and bridge the power switch contacts (known problem).
Grab one if you get the chance there are many mods for these as well. Not my photos.
I have had a few of these, all with the same or similar problem. These are an easy fix. There are tonearm kits to mod them from the aweful ceramic cartridge to a decent MM cartridge which transforms it to a fairly decent portable record player.
