I told my brother I would look at his boombox. This site has helped with wiring diagram and schematic. The problem I am having is the connection between board 17 and the tie board on the back of the deck. My father looked at this unit many years ago. Although he is very mechanically inclined, he knew very little of electronics. The #17 board had been broken in two and the parts where just thrown on the top of the deck. I have glued the board together and I have use wire braid to try and repair the bottom black wire plain. I have use the shield connector wires to connect to the center polls of the head switch. I am a bit confused on where the green wire and the orange wire go from the bd 17 to the tie board on the back deck tie board. Looking on the schematic the CN1701 is connected to forward and reverse Leds. If someone has any information on the connection of the green and orange wires I could use the help.
