My boyfriend picked up a Hitachi TRK-930 boom box from the opshop yesterday. I was playing with the tuning knob and tuned it all the way down when I heard a snap and like something falling down.
We took the knob off and a piece of plastic holding a gear had broken. My boyfriend used warhammer plastic glue to glue it back on but it snapped off again.
I took the second part of the knob off and tried turning the metal component beneath to see if we could tune that way but it didn't change anything.
Looking for guidance on what to do next. My bf was having heeps of fun jamming out to the radio and I feel awful for wrecking it . Any advice would be welcome.
