Boom!!!…searching for this for years! A rare Aiwa

Been looking for one of these rare beastever since I missed one many years ago! I even found the forum post I did complaining I’d missed it lol.

An Aiwa CS-500. Wasn’t cheap despite not working but some excellent diagnostics by Docs (thanks Dave!) meant we were fairly sure the amp chip had died. I replaced that and it came to life again!

£300 actually. But it does have the DYNAMIC SUPER LOUDNESS button!

Nice find Northerner -I`ve not seen that model n the U.K. before .
Are the four speakers 2 woofers and then two mid-range with concentric tweeters ?
My TPR 950 just had loudness..which is great..if it had SUPER loudness the neighbours would be hammering on the walls I think

Not that unusual for an amp chip to fail, not the first box I’ve had with one

Yeh I’d be surprised if it had been sold here…I only know of a handful in uk collectors hands

if you can find one of these they usually go for upwards of $500 or more. I know anything with the DSL circuit is a good sounding aiwa.

By insisting and keep on searching you finally got what you wanted.
I still remember when i got mine 7-8 years ago . It was a double score day
for me after a long trip at the port because i went home with the AIWA Combo and the Mini 500.
