no sound

I have a Discolite DK990, both cassette players work but I have no sound coming out of the stereo. No sound from the radio either. None of the LED or lights work. Any ideas what I should be looking for? Pete

Just purchased Hitachi TRK-9150W. The unit powers up however in all modes (radio, deck, line in) only static can be heared thru the speakers. Does anyone had the same or similar issue with Hitachi units ? What can be the problem ? Thanks in advanced.

I own 4 of these walkmans that detach from a boombox, and only one works properly. One plays a tape fine, does fast forward and reverse, but I cannot get any sound out of it. I cleaned the head, and ran a demagnetizer across the head, and it does not make a sound. any ideas? The second one...

just bought a lasonic TRC-931 and im trying to restore it. mostly everything on it is fuctional but there is no sound other than a humming noise and you can barely hear and music. please if anyone has come across this before and has successfully fixed the problem id be grateful to be told about it.
