Anyone repaired LCD on pc55 ?

Just wondering if anyone had successfully repaired one of these LCD's when it starts displaying weirdly ?
Could it be an interal part affecting it or is the LCD goosed ?

Any info appreciated.

on my amilo my screen was doing silly, and afterwards it was the cable!!

did cost €55, but was cheaper as a new laptop :-D
