here is my fist personal grail --

i paid a bloddy fortune ($160 shipped) :annoyed: :annoyed: :nonono:
to win it --
and then i owe old buddy monchito both my left nuts for fixing it !! :'-(
below is the 'fix-it' thread :-)

viewtopic.php?f=33&t=993

and it looks just like the kind of box that vienna sound finds by the dozens
for 5 bucks each :-D

so - thats the bad part-
--------------------------------------------------------------
from here on - the story improves  :w00t:

this little fella has everything we could ask for in a cool little
carry-at-nite box -
1. a super bright dial light
2. only 6 D cells
3. fabulous tuner (now) with the best separation
4. quality stereo recordings off the radio
5. easy carry size = 16 x 9 x 4
6. SOUND ?? =

we over-use this 'sounds big for its size' expression
except this time -- :-D
im tellin ya ...................
THIS SUCKA JAMS

photo from the bbdb --better than i could ever take
but my box looks THIS NEW

yipeeeeeeeeeeeeee

WOW I've never seen a lasonic like that, It's beautiful.
My favorate is a black and chrome box.
what's the history on this one, why does it resemble a Panasonic?

Cheers OSS :afro:

oss --
yes - the grills are exactly like panasonics --
so this model must have been from that same era :-)

except it has that cool lasonic bass hit --

while the pannys are much more smooth and quiet.

don -- because its so small --and not well known...
then if it were in a thrift shop --
it would be 10 bucks tops :-)

Now THAT is a Lasonic I would love to have! There's just something about that '70s look about it. :afro:

Yes, yes, of course, but what I am asking is there some method of providing illumination to the frequency tuning region during times of external dimness? :hmmm:
