Hi everyone-I have had a near mint M-60 for a while now and had the oppurtunity to get a parts box.
I had what I thought was a power supply problem.
But after doing some testing the power supply is good! My parts box has a good power supply & just has a bad speaker and a cracked case-got it for cheap!

So after switching out the backs(power supply),and then the power supply board(the big one)No difference & even changing the tuner baords-no difference! :-O :hmmm:
So I have narrowed it down to the cassette deck!!
I know my deck was acting wierd-blew out a diode a while back to.
The thing is when I hit the stop button it get's more powerful(the tuner)-wierd!
So tomorrow or Saturday I'm going to switch cassette deck sections as the parts box will FF & Rew. but on Play you have to help the flywheel to get it going and it plays slow but this I feel can be fixed!!

When doing transplant I will be cleaning & lubing all shafts & pulleys.
I'm thinking it could be just belts on the parts box deck.

These are quite easy to work on-Just trying to figure why the deck makes this thing get weak when turned up??
I know I have a good enough deck on my parts box that this should cure it-That's the only thing left to transplant!!
Just don't know what else it could be.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
Hopefully this tape deck transplant will cure this!
Have a great weekend-Jeff. :-)
