Would`nt it be great if someone started putting some belt kits together to make it easier for peeps to service there grails ?? good idea ??? could sell complete service kits for most sharp,jvc ect boxes..

even if we couldn't put kits together, how about a thread with different boomboxes listed and which belts fit each radio, (size part number, etc), we could also list other common replacement parts such as antennas, etc.
Well here are some sizes that I have from my notes. Now be warned I don't usually go back and correct my notes so use these at your own risk. Studio Sound Electronics is cheap enough you can order a size above and below and you will be in the ball park. If you know without a doubt the exact belt size for the model PM me and I'll correct my thread. Enough of the fine print, here is what I have noted:

not sure which was which for the tape counter but for the other 2 belts I used:

But I agree with Eric, it's always best to order a few above and below the size you may need just in case. Most of the time the belts are cheap enough and I know Studio Sound will charge a $5 fee if you don't order over $5.

that why i order alot of them i may have to start identifing them as i go though some boxes ,, i just need to find the real thick ones as the pioneer sk series uses these thick ones i think the last ones i found were from a site called electronix.com

Combine this with a collection of service manuals that Fatdog has already started and we can easily repair/restore these great boomers.

Took a month to get my order of belts but they are all fresh and correct in size.Shipping is high but offset it by placing a large order.
Our (last) local radio worker shop is selling belt kits. 
They are packed in 2 different sizes packages.
Think in every package are ~15 belts.
Price/package 10euros.
Will post pics soon.

There are some very interesting suggestions here....again just my $0.02...
We could...potentially, setup a database of brand, model, specs and documents for that model....including belts.
I know there are other online bbx lists, but they always seem incomplete and rarely have belts and tech data.....
Or is this too much?? Too little??
