That's a good idea, Tony. I think I'd keep each box in it's own thread though. It would make it much easier to find while scanning through topic titles - something like "Belt Kit Info - Box Name".

Just my $.02

Well here are some sizes that I have from my notes. Now be warned I don't usually go back and correct my notes so use these at your own risk. Studio Sound Electronics is cheap enough you can order a size above and below and you will be in the ball park. If you know without a doubt the exact belt size for the model PM me and I'll correct my thread. Enough of the fine print, here is what I have noted:

Conion c100
tape 1
FBM 9.6
SBS 8.9 x 2
Tape 2
SBS 10.0 or SBM 10.0 ( I think you can get away with either)

Elta MasterBlaster
SBS 8.4
SBS 11.4

JVC m70
FBS 9.6
SBO 7.0

JVC M90
SBO 9.0
SBS 4.6
FBM 9.0

Sharp 777
SBM 6.0 x 2
SBS 7.4
FBM 11.5 x 2

Sharp wf 939
SBO 7.2
SBS 5.6 x 2
FBL 14.7 x 2 (hard to find)

these are the belts I used for the Aiwa CS-880 and CS-600:

main belt - FBM10.5
not sure which was which for the tape counter but for the other 2 belts I used:
SBS7.0
SBS8.0

But I agree with Eric, it's always best to order a few above and below the size you may need just in case. Most of the time the belts are cheap enough and I know Studio Sound will charge a $5 fee if you don't order over $5.

Our (last) local radio worker shop is selling belt kits.
They are packed in 2 different sizes packages.
Think in every package are ~15 belts.
Price/package 10euros.
Will post pics soon. ;-)
Got myself a few of them, helped great for repairing.

There are some very interesting suggestions here....again just my $0.02...

We could...potentially, setup a database of brand, model, specs and documents for that model....including belts.

I know there are other online bbx lists, but they always seem incomplete and rarely have belts and tech data.....

Or is this too much?? Too little?? :hmmm:
