Thanks guys,  My resistor had been either burned or broken and someone rigged it by soldering it together....It works but of course I can not test it :sadno: GZ has been helping but the colors on his dont make sense so I have asked if he has a test meter to test his :hmmm: If anyone else has a conion/helix/clairtone this could be vital info ;-)

Ok so without the meter test just going by band colors the closest match was 35 ohms. I used 33 ohms and tested deck And its working 100% for full tape:-) thanks GZ, Norm and everyone else who helped!!!

Well we kind of came up with orange, green, black, gold... Which is 35 ohm 1/2 watt @5%. Well see they don't manufacture those resistors I went with orange, orange, black and gold = 33 ohms 1/2 watt @5%. :-)

33 Ohm is the right value for R 343 . I checked the resistor in my Clairtone( Orange Orange Black)
35 Ohm should not be a problem though
As long as you use at least the 1/2 Watt version
