the c100 has a slip of clored plastic behind the tuner dial it's removable so you can change the color of the tuner scale pretty easily.

Do you think that is whats been done? Yeah I know about the metal slip behind the glass, just don't know if it was original or not...

I have had both styles
one had a dark grey dial.
Is the one with the dark dial just missing the strip????
or is this original.
I have seen a few with the dark dial.

there may have been only a slight change from year to year you never know, i can only say that i saw that in the m90 the older boxes have the fuse on the power button board but there must have been a newer batch with the fuse on the transformer board so there were some design changes although they were smal they did take place when manufactured :-) :-)
