Growing collections needs space. :-P
So i decided to display some of them.
In the bedroom the wall needs an restauration, so this will be the best place.

Before i had collected some railroad goodies, but after 15years, i can´t see them any more...
(Sorry the bad pics, take by handycam)

First begin was this board, but there fits only 4 boxes.
Not good...

The railroad souvenirs are banned to the garage or given to friends.
So the wall is nearly clean. :-)

Wall is bad condition after mounting all those things

Away with the old wallpaper...

Repairing the wall:

New wooden style wallpaper: :sin:

Not bad made, but when wet it needs some hours to get flat

The display should be variable, so i took some metal rails and hooks.
So i can change the space between

Going to the homeworker shop to get some wooden panels

First test! Looking nice...

Nearly full, but not the final position

Ok, enough.
Now a few better pics, taken this moment: :angelic:

Not grails are shown here, but nice boxes i enjoy ;-)

Including a lot of "old time" disco goodies :w00t:

Artwork of signs from wrecked electronics.
Reminds me of not saveable boxes and more...

Hope you like it.

An second (smaller) display wall is in work... :surf:

Roman, that is fantastic work! The time and effort you put into your display is well worth it. I especially love the mini disco balls.

I can't wait to see the next wall!

Toledo, OH!
Excellent job Roman! :-) I still haven't decided what I'm going to do for my shelving. I have rails to mount on the walls but I want a wood shelf system. We will see.

That's very inspirational to me Vienna! I need desperately to do something along the same lines. Many of my boxes are wrapped with minimal bubble wrap and in a stack .

As for that stack of boxes Boom Shaka Laka shows us,they are obviously empty cartons.I'm sure the actual blasters are much loved. This is why I have no interest in original boxed items,or at least not in paying more for them. Not only do you need space for your actual boombox, you need as much space or more for the carton. If you leave the boombox in the carton, you can't enjoy it.If its a question of having space for another boombox or using that space for the carton of a boombox in my collection,I'd really rather have another actual blaster.

Don't be so quick to assume this, I believe that's a pic of one of OCD4U's rooms which means there likely are boomers in those boxes. :nonono:
