3rd edition
Isn't the 3rd edition the i931/iPod version which doesn't have a tape deck? I thought there were just two prior versions easily identified by their number of antennae: the MK I with two antennas, and the MK II with one antenna.
I'm new to boomboxing (is that even a word?) so I may be completely wrong.

Go!

Also the 1st edition had dual antenna, the 2nd had both single and dual antennas available and the 3rd had only a single antenna

Belt Installation Tool

Is this tool necessary to replace belts on a box?

I haven't opened the 931, so I don't know how tight the space is inside. Probably not tight at all, but I don't want to strip the threads by opening/closing it too many times.

Yes this tool will be handy as the top deck is tight to get too but I didnt replace mine so I am not sure of belt sizes... :-D As for lower deck it will help too but you can get to belts as soon as you remove rear cover

Thanks, added it to my order! :-D

Glad I found this topic! Tape A works perfect in my Lasonic, and Tape B used to.. but I just pulled a belt out tonight that was broken, it's 16" long!
