Does anyone know how many belts the Sony wm-1 takes?
I installed one and got play to work but is there another belt
For ff and rewind? I can't see where it would go
Any sugestions? Thanks

That's what I was thinking but it looks like the tire is in great shape
But not moving so that is why I thought maybe under the wheel might be room for another belt and thought maybe I could find out here before I attempt to disassemble it all the way. Thanks for the fast response.

The main driving belt is old and skip. Also the player mechanism need a good clean and grease. It can be also a issue of the electronic speed regulator for the main motor but untill this see if you can clean and grease the mechanical and also change the belt!

I may be mistaken but most wm1s have a FF/Rew linkage that fails....I've posted a workaround above...hope it sheds some light on your problem. Happy Mending!
