Just sold my Technics home theater system out of bordum with it.... the guy got a great deal  I purchased a Fisher Studio Sound system ( with owners manuals) that is same system I got as my high school graduation gift for which my brother blew up after i moved out a year later. My parents would'nt let me take it with me and promised it would be safe... Well it wasn't...... my brother decided to turn it up all the way and blew out the amp and speaker. My parents gave it to a cousin of mine who was studying electronics... A couple months later he had done what he could to repair it but to me it was garbage.. ( my brother to this day says it was ok) Anyway I have just replaced entire exact system plus got cd player which I did not have... This system is awsome and I even can listen to my old records/albums with the fully working linear tracking turntable. Only thing is i have to replace belts on the decks.

I had the exact same system as a teenager growing up. Minus the cd player and I had 12's instead of 15's. Sounded awesome. Don't know what happened to it after I went to live in puerto rico but it was sweet sounding. Be careful with the decks cuz I remember the buttons falling apart. They just stayed in. It all still worked even after that.

I'm not a big fan of the shiny, black plastic stuff, but that's a nice looking system. Somebody really took care of it all these years. By the way, what's up with the speaker caps?

Thanks for the replies guys. I am so excited about having this system back. I had probably searched for a system at every retailer who sold systems like this for over a year as a teenager :-D I got to admit though it was fun

Very cool find. It's funny, on some of the audio forums that system would get you nothing but grief. Fisher/Sanyo/Scott/Emerson/Onlyo and others sold a pantload of rack systems but there just cannot be that many of them left around anymore. I think they are iconic, not unlike a boombox, and yours appears to have been well-cared for. Someone appreciated it and it shows.

I had an Onkyo rack system in similar condition that I sold to clear out some space. Massive speakers, lots of bright trimwork & labeling, and so many knobs & switches that some of them must have been spares. I rather wish I didn't get rid of it. You did great, people are slowly starting to appreciate what these things were, for many, their first "real" stereo. That makes them extremely cool.

Looks like a nice old Fisher system. My cousin had a similar one with the matching glass component stand. He didn't have the cash for the matching CD player and opted instead for the $400 Sony. I remember fondly going over to his place and making tapes from his LP collection on that system.
