hey on this box i have, the knob has the issue where it crackles as you adjust up and down.
am assuming the standard cleaning is in order, however if one taps on the top of the box, that will also cause the volume pot to crackle.....wonder if that just bringing the dirty pot into play or if that is indicative of a bad volume pot.
thanks guys.

Your best bet is to take it apart to easily get to the pot and clean with deoxit spray ;-) For the best results of course, taking the pot apart to fully clean :-D

My sk 350 has a hidden screw behind the tape door. I had to take the door off to get to it. Maybe the 300 is similar?
Hi there
I am new to this forum :) Sorry to bring up an old thread but I have been trying to get my sk-350 apart for ages. Thanks for the tip about the screw in the tape deck. Does anyone know how to get the tape door off please (without damaging)
Thanks

There are two tabs, one on either side, that you push in with your fingers to allow the door to come off. One on the right is towards the top, the left one is close to the bottom of the door. Just work slowly and don't force anything. Old plastic is very brittle.

As well as the above question ... I also have the following problem

The SK-350 has an aux in. To put it in this mode you have to turn it to FM/aux ... when you plug the red white RCA in the FM dissapears. When I am playing an ipod the sound is not coming through properly (fuzzy and weak). I then put a small amount of downward pressure on the switch which selects TAPE/FM(aux)/AM ... it then comes through crystal clear. I tried spraying it with deoxit ... but still no fixy.

Any tips please ? ! ¿
